Minutes of the Meeting of Kirkby Underwood Parish Council, held on the 15th June 2026 at Kirkby Underwood Village Hall at 7pm
Present: Cllr J Ashwood (Chair) Cllr M Walker (Vice Chair), Cllr R Birdsall and Katrine Hudson Clerk.
1. Apologies for absence:
To receive and accept apologies where valid reasons have been given to the clerk prior to the meeting.
1.1 Cllr Louise Green has given her apologies.
1.2 Cllr Rachel Birdsall advised she could not stay past 8.30pm
2. To approve as a correct record the draft minutes including any amendment of the meeting held on Monday 18th May 2026 and to authorise the Chairman to sign the official minutes.
2.1 Cllr Birdsall did not abstain from voting and said she would have voted against both Officer elections. It was agreed to amend the minutes accordingly.
2.2 Cllr Birdsall queried the payments to LALC as exceeding budget, the chair said that the council had paid the invoices as presented, discussed the cost of food for training. Cllr Birdsall offered to discuss this outside the meeting privately. At which the Chair made an offensive comment to Cllr Birdsall, of which Cllr Birdsall left the meeting.
Meeting Closed at 7.13pm due to Council not being quorate.
